Quick answer
On Windows, Transport Fever 3 needs at least an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 8 GB RAM and a 4 GB graphics card such as a GTX 1060. It also needs 90 GB of free space on an SSD.[1] On Mac, it runs only on Apple Silicon, starting from an M2 Pro with 16 GB RAM.[1]
Minimum and recommended specs (Windows)
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11 | Windows 11 |
| CPU | Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X | Intel Core i7-13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GeForce GTX 1060, Radeon RX 480 or Arc A380 (4 GB VRAM) | GeForce RTX 3070, Radeon RX 6800 or Arc A770 (8 GB VRAM) |
| Storage | 90 GB, SSD required | 90 GB, SSD required |
Both CPU tiers are listed with "AVX2 support required". The store page also marks an SSD as required, not just recommended.[1]
Heads-up on the recommended GPU: Paradox's own store page lists a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 XT as recommended. That is one step below the RTX 3070 / RX 6800 shown on Steam.[2] If your card sits between the two, you are inside at least one official recommendation.
Mac (Apple Silicon only)
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | macOS Sequoia 15.7 or higher | macOS Sequoia 15.7 or higher |
| Chip | Apple M2 Pro (MacBook Pro 14" 2023) | Apple M4 Pro (Mac mini 2024) |
| RAM | 16 GB | 24 GB |
| Storage | 90 GB, SSD required | 90 GB, SSD required |
Intel Macs are not supported: the listing says "Apple Silicon Only" and "Requires an Apple processor".[1]
Linux
The Linux requirements match Windows, except the OS line reads Ubuntu 24.04 or higher.[1] Linux is an official launch platform, not a compatibility layer.[3]
Steam Deck
On September 29, 2026, the Steam store page showed no Steam Deck compatibility rating, and the official requirements do not mention the Deck.[1] Because the minimum Linux spec asks for a GTX 1060-class GPU and 90 GB of SSD space, treat Steam Deck support as unconfirmed until Valve or Urban Games publishes a rating.
DLSS and GeForce Now
We found no official statement on DLSS, FSR or GeForce Now support in the store listing or the developer's launch announcements.[1][3] We will update this page when either is confirmed.
